Author Michael Gelb ignited the current fascination with all things Da Vinci with his runaway best seller, How To Think Like Leonardo da Vinci: Seven Steps to Genius Every Day. Just as that book showed readers how to use the seven Da Vincian principles to develop their creative potential, his new book, Da Vinci Decoded, will help you use the same principles to cultivate your spiritual potential.

The Unauthorized Dan Brown Companion

With millions of copies of his books in print, a major motion picture based on The Da Vinci Code in theaters, and religious leaders everywhere launching scathing attacks on his work, Dan Brown is, quite simply, a phenomenon. His novels, intricate mosaics combining well-researched facts with action-packed storytelling, have created their own industry of location tours, seminarseven PBS specials. But perhaps the one thing that still keeps his readers guessing is that nagging question: How much of this is true?

The Templar Legacy : A Novel

Berry goes gnostic in this well-tooled Da Vinci Code-knockoff, his fourth novel (The Romanov Prophecy). Ex-U.S. Justice Department agent Cotton Malone is intrigued when he sees a purse snatcher fling himself from a Copenhagen tower to avoid capture, slitting his own throat on the way down for good measure. Further snooping introduces him to the medieval religious order of the Knights Templar and the fervid subculture searching for the Great Devise, an ancient Templar archive that supposedly disproves the Resurrection and demolishes traditional Christian dogma. The trail leads to a French village replete with arcane clues to the archive's whereabouts, and to an oddball cast of scholar-sleuths, including Cassiopeia Vitt, a rich Muslim woman whose special-ops chops rival Malone's. Malone and company puzzle over the usual Code-inspired anagrams, dead language inscriptions and art symbolism, debate inconsistencies in the Gospels and regale each other with Templar lore, periodically interrupting their colloquia for running gun battles with latter-day Templar Master Raymond de Roquefort and his pistol-packing monks. The novel's overcomplicated conspiracies and esoteric brainteasers can get tedious, and the various religious motivations make little sense. (Thankfully, the author soft-pedals the genre's anti-Catholicism.) But lively characters and action set pieces make this a more readable, if no more plausible, version of the typical gnostic occult thriller.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

one of the original gothics, and I believe it is still one of the best gothic novels ever written.

The Virginian

western classic by Owen Wister

Mansfield Park

was the most unpopular novel written by the classic producer, Jane Austen. It has been newly arranged and typeset by Lin Stone, then published as an electronic book by Browzer Books.

The Seventh Man

By Max Brand. The story of Dan Barry, Black Bart and Satan -- creatures of the wild.
